JOB TITLE:  Fulfillment Team Lead (2nd Shift)
 
REPORTS TO:  Fulfillment Supervisor                            
  
The Fulfillment Team Lead will manage to the daily performance expectations, be an advocate for continuous improvement within the operations team while keeping the job fun and interesting in creative ways. 
 
What You’ll Do 
This role may include, but not limited to the following functions:    
  • Lead and motivate the operations team to effectively execute fulfillment orders
  • Manage performance through metrics and develop operational improvements to optimize efficiency
  • Organize, review, and analyze order information to identify patterns and areas for optimal operational efficiency
  • Work closely with operational team members, account managers, management team; and cross-functional support teams
  • Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may impact operational performance
  • Communicate company policies to team members and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed
  • Ensure performance goals, objectives, and expectations are achieved while meeting the standards for order accuracy and quality
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all operations team members
  • Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
  • Support recognition and communication programs as required
  • Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
  • Effectively train team members on current processes
  • Provide feedback to the operations team on performance and growth opportunities
  • You may be required to pick, pack, and ship in other areas/departments
  • May be required to meet the needs of the business by performing/supporting work or working in other areas/departments and performing functions that are beyond the scope of your role
  • Other duties as assigned
 
What You’ll Bring 
Required:    
  • Motivated and creative thinker who can solve abstract problems
  • Excellent Communication Skills (written and oral)
  • Working experience in using a variety of complex programs and technical platforms
  • Must be a positive, enthusiastic, results-oriented individual able to work collaboratively with smart, fun, and active team members
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, as well as ERP
  • Basic understanding of Lean methodologies and Six Sigma
  • Ability and Passion to learn new fulfillment methodologies – absorb new information and concepts quickly
  • Flexibility to work any shift, any area/department, and support/perform other functions/roles beyond the scope of your regular job duties in a multi-shift one-building operation
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency required to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates responsibility, maturity, and collaboration across departments
  • Initiative to work with minimal instruction or direction
  • Ability to identify process deviation by working in various roles and quickly compiling and analyzing data to improve the current process
Experience/Training/Education/Certification: 
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
  • 3+ years (s) experience in a retail fulfillment/distribution center environment
  • 2+ year(s) related experience in leadership role
 
Work Environment 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee must frequently reach with hands and arms, bend up/down and twist their upper body, and squat/stoop, step, or kneel. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
  • The employee must frequently lift, pull, and push up to 60 pounds and pull large pallets of product with a lift truck weighing up to 525 pounds.
